The Lobby Law – Radio Biobío
The Radiograma programme @Radio Biobío addressed the meeting of an advisor from the ‘Second Floor’ of the President’s Office with the representative of a company. In this regard, it has been questioned whether or not these advisors should be subject to the Lobby Law, which requires public disclosure of the meetings, the participants and the matters discussed.
Our lawyer @Joaquín Palma, a specialist in public and regulatory law and professor of constitutional law at Finis Terrae University, was interviewed about this. Although these advisors are not currently governed by this law, he says, ‘it must also be remembered that, as a public official, ex-deputy Crispi must be subject to the duties of probity established in article eight of the Constitution, for all public officials’.
